The Nailbot starter kit is $199.99 for those that pre-order in the next drop. It includes the printer hardware, power supply, phone cradle, ink cartridge, sticker pack, nail consumables (White canvas polish, Primer, Seal the Deal Top Coat), alcohol wipes and instruction manual. You download the Nailbot mobile app on your iOS or Android phone and you are set.

Preemadonna is the only and official inventor and maker of "Nailbot". Other entities that deploy nail printers or nail robots are not affiliated with Nailbot or Preemadonna.

Yep, it will generally work on a variety of fingernails. We use the smartphone’s cameras to detect your fingernail so that we can more accurately print the art.

For Small Nails: Resize to “Small” and “Bottom.” Try placing your nail or the user’s nail in the cradle so that the nail bed is flush with the bottom of the finger guide. 

For Medium or Large Nails: Resize to “Medium” or “Large” and place in either “Bottom” or “Center”. Try placing your nail or the user’s nail in the cradle so that the nail bed is flush with the bottom of the finger guide. 

Nailbot is relatively easy to set up! We've had a range of different aged users set up Nailbot. If you are under 12, we highly recommend a parent or adult set up Nailbot with and for you.

Generally we've seen folks set up Nailbot in about 5 minutes. You don't need any tools or products, other than what is in the Kit! (You supply your phone and fingernails!)

This Nailbot is specified to print in one pass over Bluetooth at approx 600 DPI.

You can remove the print with an alcohol wipe. It won’t remove the polish underneath so you can easily print again!

The prints can last 5 days if you seal them in with a top coat. Typically the polish chips first. But since it’s so easy to print - we hope you try on lots of new nail art looks.

The Starter Cartridge should last for around 2000-2500 prints if the Nailbot and cartridge are used and stored properly. There is also a print counter in the Nailbot app where you can see the total number of prints.

Our Canvas White Polish and Nailbot Primer & Nailbot Seal the Deal are formulated without Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, Camphor, Triphenyl Phosphate, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, MEHQ/HQ, MIT, Palm Oil, Parabens, Animal-Derived Ingredients, or Gluten. Our Nailbot Ink is waterbased and does not require any hazardous labeling required per the directive 1999/45/EG.

We’ve spent the past few months testing Nailbot across many types of polishes across brands. We have our favorite that we include in the Nailbot kit and we’ll post additional videos showing how prints look with other polishes. We recommend a lighter nail polish - white or pastel - for better visual results of the print.

If your Nailbot needs a firmware update - we will alert you via the mobile app with prompts on how to do this. We don’t anticipate this occurring regularly and only in a much needed event.

You need to put in an ink cartridge! Follow the instructions in the instruction manual. If you are getting an orange light around the power ring in alternate scenarios, follow the prompts in the Nailbot mobile app. Try turning off Nailbot, unplugging from the electrical outlet and exiting out of the app. Then re-plug into the outlet, turn on Nailbot and re-open the app and repair your Nailbot. 

Here is an insider tip to print in the right spot every time!

It’s possible that the nozzles in your cartridge are clogged. Often users haven’t waited for their canvas polish and primer to dry before printing and have pushed their nail too high, touching the cartridge nozzles. Take the cartridge out and inspect the nozzles. If it looks like there is a streak, take a lint pad and gently swipe to remove the material. If the lint pad doesn’t remove the streak, you can try an alcohol wipe. If you don’t have a lint pad or alcohol wipe, try using a clean paper towel.  Re-insert the cartridge into the Nailbot and print a few test prints on photo paper or index cards. The streaking should be considerably reduced or gone.

Make sure your nails are prepped with both the Canvas polish and Primer. Make sure your nails are dry to the touch after both applications. When placing your finger in the finger cradle, ensure that your nail is in line with the finger guide and there is not too much distance between the finger guide and your nail. Often, users with small nails “press down” too far on the finger cradle foam, thus creating more distance between the finger guide and the fingernail.

Make sure you are connected to Nailbot via Bluetooth. Make sure your phone has the latest version of the Nailbot mobile app software. Try restarting your Nailbot and the app if this continues message us here or schedule an interactive Troubleshoot Office Hour session.
